GRUBENTUCH - Half-linen

The pit towel has a special history. Its dark, almost sinister design has a very specific reason. These black pit towels were formerly used in mining. The miners used the towel to dry their daily laundry. Because of the dark color, the black coal dust wasn't immediately visible!

The traditional tea towel has been revived and is now a dish towel for young and old! It fits perfectly into the modern kitchen! Despite our modern dishwashers, a traditional tea towel is still a wonderful and indispensable addition.

The design is a small square with a red stripe along two long sides. It is extremely absorbent and dries very quickly. This natural product, with its timeless industrial look, allows you to dry yourself in style without leaving streaks. The towels should be washed 2-3 times at 60°C before first use.

Anyone who has ever dried a glass with a clean linen cloth knows what a difference it can make. Linen is made from the flax plant. Flax is an exceptionally resource-efficient and sustainable plant. It thrives in particularly poor soil and requires no fertilizer. Flax is undemanding and needs no artificial irrigation.

Care instructions

• Wash 2-3 times before first use.
• Use plenty of water and only fill the machine halfway. Linen needs a lot of water! It's best to soak linen overnight and wash it with plenty of water. If necessary, add water through the porthole.
• Avoid optical brighteners. Use liquid detergents for delicates without optical brighteners or bleach to wash your linen products.
• Low spin speeds. Set the lowest spin speed. Saving energy during the spin cycle makes ironing easier and protects the fabric.
• Washable up to 60°C. White and natural linen can be washed at 60°C.
• Not suitable for tumble drying
