Bassetti Granfoulard – the large, versatile cloth whose uses are as varied as its history. Use it as a tablecloth, curtain, room divider, beach towel, bedspread, sofa cover...
ESPERIDI – The first leg of this captivating journey through Italian beauty begins in the city of Padua, home to the world's oldest botanical garden. The "Garden of the Naiads," with its majestic Japanese magnolias, serves as the inspiration for a design that envelops us in an exotic atmosphere with delicate bouquets of flowers and Japanese-style butterflies. A harmonious composition is further enhanced by a refined flounce, inspired by the decorative prints of ancient Japanese obi, the ribbons used to fasten traditional garments. These elements are also found in the central part of the pattern, creating a rich backdrop. The design interprets a romantic floral motif in a modern form, reminiscent of the ancient Orient. It is available in three color variations: a light and luminous one combining ivory, pink, and cream with a touch of sienna; a more intense and vibrant one in burgundy and terracotta; and a third in deep blues and petrol blues with hints of copper and caramel.
Granfoulard is probably the world's best-known product with which Bassetti established itself in the market. As simple as Italian life itself, the uses of this "large scarf" are equally simple and versatile.
Today you have it as a tablecloth on the garden or dining table, and tomorrow it can be knotted together as a room divider or used as a decorative cover on the sofa .
Whether attached to a curtain rod as a scarf, it serves its purpose just as well as a sunshade , beach towel , or simply on a sun lounger . As you can see, there are no limits to your imagination.
Create your own next use for your Granfoulard.
